Me so Sorry!

First I want to apologize for not posting earlier!  It has been such a busy few weeks and I have not had time to sit down and put attention towards this.  So what have I been up too? you ask. WELL.....
I got some more congratulatory flowers from my 2/3rd's....aka the Marshalls!! LOVE THEM!! This was such a great surprise!  I just loved the thoughtfulness behind them!  <3
Barb so nicely delivered them to me!

I got to visit my friends Jessica and Russell!  I haven't seen them in a long time! It was great to catch up with them and their little ones.  Jess and I went out for a bit and it ended up being an elementary school reunion for me! All my friends that used to come over and slumber and watch "The people under the stairs!"  So random but good to see everyone.  Jess and I stayed up till 4am talking....just like old times!  You realize how much you miss that when you have lots of responsibilities   Speaking of responsibilities guess who got woke up by thee cutest little 3 year old who wanted to go "shopping" at the "store" for dresses! This girl!  And yes, I embraced the situation but we played chutes and ladders instead of shopped.....O the memories...and yes I let her win! I am just so nice!

Exhausted Me and the Ever-so-energetic 3 year old!

Look at this cutie!! He loved me!
So after a lovely evening and morning with my Nelson friends, I ventured over to Litchville (the wrong way but I did make it!) to the Fick Family household!  It was Abbey's 21st birthday! WOO HOO!!  We went out for supper at the Angry Beaver and then bar hopped around Oakes, ND.  It was a good time!  Met lots of new friends and two South African men who were here to farm.  It was such a blast and I cannot wait to hang out with the Fick's again!  Good people I tell you!
After a few hours of sleep I got up bright and early to head back west only to be stopped by the HUGE storm that came through.  I made it to Bismarck and that is where I had to stop.  My car was not working well and the roads were horrible!  I left around 7:30a and made it to Bismarck around 11am.  That is a long time in a car for a short distance!  Thankfully my Aunt Lisa and Uncle Dan took this straggler in!  They provide great food, a warm bed, and lots of good conversation and laughs.  After a great night of sleep we got up and started shoveling.  We shoveled for a long time but it was such a gorgeous day.  It's crazy to say that because it snowed 23.5 inches the day before and then it was in the 30's and sunny the next!  So if we had to shovel at least it was in nice weather!
After shoveling we went and got stuff for lunch and for Red Velvet cupcakes.  Sarah and I made these and they were very good!!  Britta came home just in time to play a round of cards before I had to take off.  Sad to say goodbye because it was such a fun unexpected visit! <3 that family!!

I returned home Tuesday did some work and then Wednesday worked till noon to take off for Fargo for AASK 101.  What is AASK 101 you ask....haha get it!!?  I know my humor is sick but remember it is Monday and it has been a long one that is for sure! The AASK 101 was basically a step by step of how to do my job!  I advocated for myself to go because I really needed a walk through for my position and this was providing it. I can now tell you that I am overwhelmed with work that needs to be done but at least I know, kind of, what I am doing and what is expected.  I also got to meet the child that was chosen for one of my families   I cannot express how perfectly they were matched.  They have not met yet but I cannot wait for that day!! It will be worth every minute I will spend traveling, writing, and rewriting all of their stuff! EEKS!!! <3

On Wednesday when I got to Fargo I got to meet up with my clients at Space Aliens! Miss them so much! I also got to see some staff and a guardian!  I took Jake to play some games at his request.  We played this one where there was like 80 or so light up buttons you push.  We wanted to see how many tickets we could get so Mardee, Jake, and I stood on the machine and played as a one player.  We worked our tails off for a whopping 10 tickets :(  We were so depressed!  But laughed a lot about Mardee's comment "I just burned 300 calories for 10 tickets??!"  It's the small things!  Next, Jake, Marie, Mardee, Desi, and I went over to Diva's and Rockstars for an Odouls.  Trevor showed up and sang a few songs and visited!  Here is Marie being the great staff she is pouring Jake's beer for him!

Singing "Bad Romance"
I got to catch up with a couple of the life group gals!  It was nice to see them and chit chat in a more relaxed setting!  They are just wonderful people and I am glad that I have them in my life that is for sure!
Friday I went to supper with Jess, Todd, Connor (Jess and Todd's baby), Jeana, John, Peter, Travis, and Liz.  Wonderful time!! Loved the conversations and laughs!  Miss all of them so much!  Can't wait for the DDA's!! ;)
Connor's little toy!  So cute!
The weekend I spent at my dad's, except for Saturday.  Mardee, our wonderful friend Lucas, and I moved my stuff from my apartment to a storage unit.  I had to be out of the apartment by the 1st and I don't have permanent housing so this was my solution.  It works and I have gotten rid of a lot of things from before so it worked perfectly.  We moved a lot of mountains with some team work!  Then Travis vacuumed for me and Desi helped me clean the bathroom!  Such wonderful people I tell you!! Thanks to all 4 of you who helped! I am forever grateful and you will never understand how much it means! Love you!
Back at Captain Fred's (aka my pops house) we just relaxed had some visitors and went to bed early.  Nothing to special but it was nice not to do anything and relax for once.  I left way later than what I wanted to on Sunday, reason being I was to lazy to get up and drive and the other reason.....it's so hard to say goodbye!  Spending all that time with Mardee sometimes ends up making it harder to part!  Our relationship just grows stronger and stronger each day and I just love her so much!  She is one of the best things God gave me!!!  I could not ask for a better BEST friend!!!

This is a subway drive thru I came across while working one day! Touch screen ordering Kinda different! It got my order wrong and then the staff blamed it on me....it was not my fault for the record!

Super nice note from my boss! She did that and changed the water in my flowers for me!  She is such a nice lady !

Another drive into the Sunset!  What a beautiful drive home~!
Stay posted for adventures with Barb! I didn't have time to update another post tonight but I will try and do one in a few days!

This song is dedicated to my side-kick Mardee.....You know why!

PASSED IT!!!!!!!!!

OOOO my friends!! What a whorl wind kind of week/weekend.
Wednesday was a "busy" day in the office!  We had a new addition to our office her name is Barb

Welcoming Barb

Barb recruiting Foster Care Families

Wednesday night I got a call from my good friend Jake.  He is up here working in the oil fields transporting oil barrels via Semi-truck.    See it was 8:30pm and of course I was literally crawling in bed watching TV and he called to go for a beer. Jake and I haven't hung out like that in a long time, so it was needed! Lots of laughs and NACHOS!! We shut the place down and didn't even know it!  It closed at 10p and we stayed till 11p, REBELS! We know! :)

And then Thursday happened....
I had this blog and told you that I would be 100% honest in my feelings so here it goes....
I had my first break down.  I cried A-lot and then texted my sister (she was at work).  I was 45 minutes late for work due to this.  Thursday morning I woke up got ready and could not get it together.  There is not one thing that I could pin point that was making me feel this way.  I remember dreaming and waking up crying twice throughout the night, however I don't remember what the dreams were about.  I was sad for the first time in a long time just.......SAD.  I went out and bought myself some flowers and put them on my desk because I thought some of God's colorful/wonderful creations could bring me through the day.  By the end of the day I came to the conclusion that this whole thing is real.  This whole Dickinson move.....that all of you are not just a text or phone call away to come be by my side.  Yes, I can still call and text but sometimes you just want the person physically there to just give you a hug and tell you that things will be ok!
I got a call from my brother John that afternoon and he said that he was in town and he wanted to go for lunch.  My spirits were lifted by this!! God sent him my way that is all I can say about that!  We went and had supper together and then went and walked around a sporting goods store (similar to Fleet Farm) and then he had to get back to the job site.  It was sad seeing him go!  We had a good time lots of laughs and good conversation as well!  It's crazy how close you become with people when you aren't around them as much. John calls and checks up on me through the weeks and makes sure I'm safe and still alive.  (which is totally appreciated!)
John setting up a hunting scene to explain to me how it all went down
Iphone=Car
Salt=Shelter belts
Pepper=HUGE buck

John showing how to hold the gun, he was being funny!

Friday.....Well I am not sure what happened Friday....First off I went to my very first spinning class at the gym.  My co-worker Natalee and I went together (needed the emotional support).  We were standing in this line and took turns changing in the locker room to stay in line for a ticket.  I went first and came back to stand in line and then Natalee went to go change.  All of a sudden they start giving tickets away.  I start to panic because I can get a ticket, but is Natalee going to be able to?  So I ask and explain and the lady goes.."oooo no I'm sorry she has to get her own" (in a non compassionate, rude voice).  At this point out of sheer panic and anger due to her snotty voice, I wanted to jump the counter, push her over, and steal the LAST ticket!  But instead I sprint to the locker room and yell "Natalee RUN, there is only one more ticket and you need it if we are going to be able to go to this class.  She replies "hold on I have to pull my pants up"  She runs to the front and.....NO TICKET.  As she walks back to the locker room in a depressed face, this man approaches her and says "Hey, I saw your friend was really upset that she couldn't get you a ticket so I stood in line and got you one"  Now seriously!!! How awesome is this man!  And how expressive my face must have been!
Now with tickets in hand we approach the room.  Side-note in my head I am freaking out!  I have never done this before and I am scared out of my mind.  And not only that but my body is about to go into a complete exercise shock!  So with nerves popping out everywhere I walk in and there are no bikes next to each other.  There is one in the back row next to a man or one hanging out off to the side 2nd row.  Natalee BLESS her heart lets me decide. I chose the last row next to the man.  I know you all are like oooo whats the big deal its just a guy.  Well listen!  First off it is hard enough to go to the gym in the first place, 2nd I don't feel like sweating like a pig in-front of anyone let alone this guy, and third HE'S A MAN. No girl likes to sweat like that in front of a man! PERIOD!
So I get on this bike....Of course I am not willing to admit I have never taken this class before or that I am new (even though I am reeking of new girl scent).  So I casually try to put my feet in the holders.  Well the person that sat there before me must have been like four feet tall because I literally kneed my chest trying to put my second foot in the holder.  Then because it was awkward I waited and watched.  I eye stalked everyone in that room waiting like a Lion approaching prey, ready to pounce.  Then a person right in front of me started to adjust their bike.  I observed and then waited a little bit and then jumped at the chance to change my machine.  You know because it wasn't obvious in the first place.  So I adjust and get settled in (as much as you can on these things).  Then the instructor comes in....ready to go...when I say ready I mean READY!  She turns the lights down, turns the music up, and starts yelling PEDAL!  Of course I feel like I am entering a twilight zone because this is all new to me.  I start pedaling trying to go the pace of others around me....Lalala....you know that kind of thing.  Then we start to "hill" climb basically we are standing up pedaling   All I am thinking in my head is "Dear God, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not let these pedals give out on me.  If they do please let me have the balance to be able to get up and RUN out of this exercise room."  As we continue I am like dying sweat dripping, going to fall over, passing out tired and I glance at the clock and we are four minutes in.  How in the *%$# am I going to last for 36 more minutes!  Fast forward to about half way in our workout the instructor goes "you should be tired! You should be wanting to quit!"  I was thinking "well I was about 19 minutes ago!"  I keep pushing myself because I am not giving up, I am determined to finish this class!  Even if my butt is bruised from this unbearable seat and I cannot sit on anything for a week I WILL finish this workout!! Then the instructor yells "This is my second workout today, WHAT'S YOUR EXCUSE!!"  At this point it wasn't just sweat that was dripping from my face....I was going to die...she was going to exercise me to death....
We started another hill climb towards the end and the instructor was like "can you feel it in your butt? Can you?"  The poor man next to me feeling the same tear causing pain that I was loudly says "YES" with a chocked up voice.  Me?  well at that point I couldn't do anything but laugh at his response and the poor guy looks at me and then we both bust out laughing together. Bonding moment!
Sweat covered, thirstier than I have ever been, and  numb butted, I finished that workout like a CHAMP!
When we left my co-worker asked if I would ever do it again....my response "maybe after next week, my butt has to recover after this one!"
So moving on with my Friday.  We went to Bowman to drop off a car (long boring story). While there we (Natalee and I) decided to visit the thrift store we found some goodies! I found another hat for the pool!  This one will be great when I am exercising due to the tie it has on it! Water Aerobics here I come!
Please refrain from jealousy! If you come visit I will share
So I return home from this little adventure.  Decided to shower and after I come out I see someone is sitting on my chair in the living room.  I peek out and pull my head back in the bathroom and then realize who it is (after I have a mini heart attack!)  IT WAS MARDEE!!!!!!  THEE BEST sister in thee WORLD! I bawled like a big baby!  For a while, then screamed with excitement. If anyone of you know Mardee, she is not the fly by the seat of her pants type of gal.  She needs a plan! and for her to on a whim and decide to come visit was a huge deal!  Not only for her but for me!! I could not have asked for a better surprise!  I asked her why she did it and she said "You threw out the bat signal, so I came flying"  UGH seriously I am tearing up just thinking of this!  I don't even think she knows how much that meant to me!  A little shout out to my great friend Marie!  She helped Mardee pull this off and I couldn't ask for a better friend! <3
Friday night we went out to my co-worker Natalee's friends house and played a dice game.  We met lots of new people and had a blast playing!  Looks weird but totally fun!

Saturday Mardee and I painted my office! ALL DAY.  I now know that I would not have been able to do that myself! UGH! It was tough with two people! So thankful for her and her help.  Pictures will come when I finish up one of the walls and get my decorations up.  It is going to be so cute!
Then Sunday came we went to church and then she had to take off :(   I could not have been any sadder.  I really miss her and needed her this weekend so much! HUGE thankyou to her!! LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Monday=STORM, I got sent home from work around noon.  Katie and I watched Wreck it Ralph later, and enjoyed ourselves some good 'ol movie time!

Tuesday....The Tuesday that I will probably NEVER forget!  This day my friends I went to take my license  test.  Now this test had a huge weight on my shoulders because if I didn't pass I could have potentially lost my job.  I prayed and cried more than I feel I ever have in my life.  I was to the point where if I would have failed I was going to come home grab my stuff and head back to Fargo.  HOWEVER:  I went in like a champ did my breathing exercises when I was overwhelmed during the test BUT walked out of there with a paper that said PASS!!!!!!!!  Life is so great! This was another puzzle piece in place for me!  Just another one of those God Winks telling me to keep moving forward in the direction I have been going!  Please feel free to refer to me as Nicky Kay Besette, LSW

This silly picture is one I sent Mardee because she sent me Thursday morning a quote that said
"Faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains in your life, Stay Encourage"
And I told her "funny you sent that because I look like one!"
GOD WINK ;)

Flowers from my PATH girls!! They went and bought me these in
celebration for when I got back! <3 them so much!!
Then I also had on my desk this AWESOME NAME TAG!!!
I am just so official each day that comes forth!

A to the MEN!!!

All I can say is that your prayers and thoughts must have been working from the last post! ThankYOU all for the support and for being my friends and family!! Love you all so much!!

So Much Love,
Nicky

For Real Poppin Tags!

Week 3!
How I have been so busy....well not really because I don't know what I am doing still so I have some time on my hands.  And honestly I will totally regret saying that, because after the end of this month I will know a whole lot more and be required to do a whole lot more!  As of now, let me ride this relaxed train! So here is some of what I was doing on what I am sure was my lunch break! ;)
Mardee and I send messages to each other throughout the day to keep in touch.  So this was our convo right before Easter weekend.  Mardee in the pictures and in the conversation is the one on the left side, I am the right side.

Then off for some house visits......Driving around like I know where I am going.  Then I get in spots where my phone and GPS don't work.....UGH is all I can say because then I sit there like a weirdo on the side of the road waiting for it to work.  I almost pulled a Kathy Mita (my mom), by asking strangers what direction the School was.....However thank the man above, my GPS started working!  Afterward I headed to another little town but did not pay attention to my GPS (because I was talking to Mardee on the phone) and drove the wrong direction.  I drove past these cute little things and then due to going in the wrong direction got to drive by them a second time and stopped to take a picture!  So adorable!
1st drive by
Second Drive by! Huge difference!
So I finished out my week strong! Finished what I had to and hit the road home for that awesome holiday Easter!! Here I am singing in the car....it was to Christina Aguilera and of course as any girl would need was their back up! So what do I do....text my back up (of course while pulled over on the side of the road) and ask for assistance!

What I sent to my backup singer

What he sent back "I'm helping in spirit"
As the road trip and concert continued I eventually hit the town of Tappen.  Then the fog started. Of course naturally I was like "ALIEN INVASION!!! GET YOUR TIN FOIL HATS ON!"  That may have been an over exaggeration but let's be honest, every time I pass this place that is all I think about and then get the creeps!! And Beaker couldn't come with me so I was all ALONE if something happened!
TAPPEN + FOG= INVASION

Saw some Albino cows as well! I don't think that they
show in this picture I was driving by to fast!
I headed out on Thursday afternoon to meet up with my life group ladies!  I only told Mardee I was coming home and she helped me surprise those beautiful, lovely ladies!  We volunteered at the YWCA for a serve project.  It was wonderful!  We had a lot of team work going on and these ladies know how to organize!  Made me miss them lots!! <3

Late Thursday night my mom and Atati showed up.  They spent the night and we proceeded to POP some tags on Friday!  Super fun adventure.  Mardee had to work so we took some pictures and sent them to her so she could be part of it.  Atati found this cute Cheetah purse for Mardee for her Cheetah girls reunion....Girl will look FAB!
There is a Ninja in the ARC....

My AWESOME pool hat that I found!
Summer cannot come fast enough!!

POSER

Atati  wouldn't get off the phone or his computer! I mean we get to see each other like once maybe every month and he is to busy "talking" and playing on his labtop!   Look at this guy....

This is from a different trip with Chelsea, I found my dress for Kara's wedding! I mean how could you pass this up! Side-note: that's my plus one in the background, with the red tie! LUCKY

Friday night we went to see the Captain in Aber.  He is good for anyone who is wondering! Same old Fred as he always has been! Miss that guy!  The dogs got to see their Auntie! They missed me so much that Jinx tinkled on me....Me=not impressed!

Saturday morning started out right and healthy!  I went and did a 5k with these 3 awesome people! This run benefited the Arc.  Amber and I did this run last year and enjoyed it so we signed up and these two crazy cats joined us....and beat us!  See the thing about this 5k was that Amber and I didn't exactly train for this, unless mentally counts.  So, Amber and I approached the start line with no headphones or music and decided to just enjoy the 5k.  We talked and ran some, walked (most), along the way we stopped to support Aaron and Travis on the 1 mile marker and cheer for them.  We house shopped, we grabbed flyers in the yards of houses as we walked by, to check them out.  Met some new "friends" along the way and joked about making short cuts in the race.  All in all it was one of the funnest 5k's I have ever done and I was glad to do it with my beautiful friend Amber!  Great times!!
Group pic!
Due to having such a great time, we as friends decided that we should all meet up later and continue on.  Amber told us to come play B-I-N-G-O at the VFW in West Fargo.  So we did!  Lots of laughs and good times! Trevor and Benny joined for a while as well.  Then to our surprise we got to listen to a band play and people dancing.  I didn't expect people to dance so much, but these people know how to dance and enjoy it!  They are so serious, that we even saw this guy bring his own fan to plug in so he could cool down in between !  After a while we ventured further into West Fargo and did our own "pub crawl" LOL it consisted of Divas, Bar 9, and Oleary's.  We are so adventurous...WE KNOW!

Sunday was Easter!! I got to go to PHCC that morning! I just love that church and cannot get enough of it!! After some quality family time, lots of laughs, and a nap at my Grandma and Grandpa's we headed out to Aber where my dad made us supper.  We hung out and Lucas came to visit.  We were all snap chatting each other and I happened to get this picture of Mardee haha.  Atati kicked her right as I was taking the picture and this song by Shakira is a joke between all of us! Perfect fit if I do say so myself!

Please don't kill me for putting this up but it's my favorite!
Monday was a ball of crazy! You know how you plan on how your day is going to go and you start the day right and everything slowly falls apart?! Yup my Monday in a nutshell!  But before it all went any further and the day got later I just decided to head out early.  I got on the road and headed back west.  I can tell you that Fargo/Aber was so different.  There is no way to describe what I mean by it, other than it was like I had never lived there and I was just visiting friends that live there. I don't know if that is a good or bad thing but I left Fargo with my head held high and continue to concentrate on the NOW and I'm not looking back!

My cool mug from Samantha!  It changes color when the mug gets warm and has an awesome quote from the famous Abraham Lincoln- "It's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years" Cheers to making this quote come to life!
Prayers and thoughts are much appreciated and needed! Thank you all for the love and support!

So Much Love,
Nicky

The song of the night on Saturday night!  This will be my man!! "You will find him next to me"
